Entry Fees for Non-Residents
– Peak Season (July to December): Adults: USD 200 per day, Children/Students: USD 50 per day.
– Low Season (January to June): Adults: USD 100 per day, Children/Students: USD 50 per day.
Entry Fees for Residents and Ugandan Citizens
– Peak Season: Adults: UGX 30,000, Children/Students: UGX 10,000.
– Low Season: Adults: UGX 20,000, Children/Students: UGX 5,000.
Camping Fees
Camping fees vary based on residency and campsite type. Private campsites require a booking fee of UGX 100,000.
Vehicle and Other Fees
– Vehicle Entry: Charges vary based on capacity, ranging from UGX 20,000 for vehicles with less than 6 seats to UGX 200,000 for 45 seats and above.
– Ranger Fees: Game drives exceeding 6 hours incur an additional fee of UGX 50,000, while shorter drives and overnight camp security have separate charges.
Payment Modes
Entrance fees can be paid in cash (US Dollars or Ugandan Shillings) at the entry gates. However, cashless payments (Visa/Mastercard or Mobile Money) are mandatory for the western side of the reserve, including the Mara Triangle – Mara Conservancy area. Cashless options are also available at other entry gates.
